Region Collegiate Representative (RCR) – Katherine Gage

I am studying Mechanical Engineering at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, and plan to graduate this coming spring. I am very excited to be one of Region B’s RCRs this year. In the Cal Poly SWE section, I have previously served as Publications Director (2009), Team Tech Director (2008), Internal Marketing Director (2007), and a Team Tech member (2007) . If I am not studying or participating in extracurriculars at school I like to go for a swim or spend time outdoors. I love to travel and I hope one day to see most of the world.

Region Collegiate Newsletter Editor (RCNE) – Amanda Romero

I am a senior in biological engineering at Utah State University. I am working concurrently on my bachelor’s degree as well as my master’s degree. This is my fourth year in SWE. I have attended conferences in Las Vegas (2007), Baltimore (2008), and Albuquerque; and I absolutely loved going to them. The best thing about SWE is networking; meeting the professionals and other collegiates in the Society is the best part. This summer, I got a dog and got married. If homework isn’t taking up my time, then you can bet either the dog or the husband is taking up my time. But when I do find those rare moments to myself, you’ll probably find me reading, on the internet checking email or blogging, playing racquetball, or watching an awesome movie or tv show.

Region Collegiate Senator – Amy Jo Bowdidge

I am a senior in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering at Utah State University and have been a member of SWE for 4 years now. Last year I was the Region Collegiate Representative for Region B. I served as vice president of our section to 2 years, and in 2006-2007, I was also the publicity chairman at USU. I am an active member of Engineering Student Council at Utah State. Outside of school I love just hanging out with my friends. I love being outside and during the summers I coach a 10 and under girls’ softball team. It’s probably my favorite thing to do.
