On October 7th, SWE-UCLA hosted the Deloitte STEM Simulation in the Engineering IV Maxwell Room. The event is a part of the fall recruiting series and served to introduce engineering majors to the consulting industry. At the beginning of the event, five Deloitte representatives were there to review and critique students resumes. Then, the lead representatives talked about Deloitte and the BTA (Buisness Technology Analyst) program. Following that, Jason Mok, a UCLA Alumni and Deloitte employee, lead a hands-on case proposal that taught attendees in both a quantitative and qualitative matter about what Technology Consultants do. Four groups of five students each discussed the simulation and created an impromptu PowerPoint presentation. The event was a great opportunity that helped students with professional development and soft skills.
