For its fifth general meeting, the SWE UCR chapter had a Python programming tutorial! Brian Crites, a PhD student at UCR, was kind enough to come in as a guest lecturer for this event.
Prior to the session, SWE UCR emailed tutorials to its members so that attendees could come to the session prepared and ready to go. Even if the members did not have time to view the slides, Brian did a very excellent job of making sure to cover all types of skill levels. Brian started the session by providing an introduction to Python and explaining the very basics of the program. From there, he built upon the fundamentals and progressed to more complex skills.
It was a very informative and great first look into programming for all types of majors!
